Claude for Enterprise is excellent — if you want Anthropic’s models specifically. But “specifically” is the point: it’s single-vendor. Here’s an honest comparison with osFoundry for 2026. (dgm implements osFoundry as an independent partner; we’ll be fair to both.)

What each is

Claude for Enterprise is Anthropic’s enterprise Claude — SSO, SCIM, audit logs, custom retention, plus Claude Code and Cowork agent features — per-seat with usage on top. It’s Anthropic-only.

osFoundry is a model-agnostic platform via bring-your-own-key — use Claude and other models, switching per task — with usage pricing and no per-seat fees.

The key difference: single-vendor vs model-agnostic

Claude for Enterprise is locked to Anthropic models — superb if that’s what you want, limiting if you don’t. osFoundry lets you use Claude alongside OpenAI, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek and others, routing per task. Notably, you can use Claude via osFoundry — so it’s not strictly either/or. (See how to choose an LLM.)

Data and residency

Claude doesn’t train on enterprise data, offers a zero-retention addendum, and has been rolling out EU residency and BYOK. osFoundry offers US/EU/JP regions (no UK region) and self-hosting in your own UK/EU cloud — the most direct route for strict UK residency.

Pricing

Claude for Enterprise is per-seat + usage (with a meaningful seat minimum — confirm with Anthropic). osFoundry is usage-priced, no per-seat fees, bring-your-own-key. For variable use, usage pricing is often more predictable.

Who each is best for

  • Claude for Enterprise — teams that specifically want Anthropic’s models with a polished experience.
  • osFoundry — businesses wanting model flexibility (including Claude), consolidation and data control without single-vendor lock-in.

They can be complementary — use Claude via osFoundry.

Which should a UK business choose?

Want the best Claude experience specifically? Claude for Enterprise. Want model flexibility, consolidation and to avoid single-vendor lock-in (while still using Claude)? osFoundry — and dgm can help you evaluate and implement.
