Before committing to a full AI build, a proof-of-concept tells you cheaply whether it’s feasible and worth it. dgm builds AI PoCs for UK businesses on osFoundry. (dgm is an independent integration partner; osFoundry is a separate company’s product.)
What a PoC is
An AI proof-of-concept is a small, focused build that tests whether a use case is technically feasible and valuable — before you commit to a full implementation. We keep it fast and cheap, and clear about what it proves.
PoC vs pilot
- PoC — tests technical feasibility: can this be done with your data and systems?
- Pilot — tests value and adoption in real use over a period.
Often a PoC comes first (is it feasible?), then a pilot (does it deliver value?). We’ll advise which you need.
Why run a PoC
To reduce risk and cost. A PoC proves or disproves feasibility and value cheaply, before a full commitment. If it shows the use case doesn’t work, that’s a cheap, valuable lesson; if it works, you proceed with confidence. Skipping straight to a full build risks investing in something that doesn’t deliver. (See common AI implementation mistakes.)
Real data, clear measure
A PoC on toy data proves little. We use your real data (handled securely with data control — self-hosting or an EU region; osFoundry publishes US/EU/JP regions, not a UK one) and a clear success measure, so the PoC gives an honest answer in your actual context.
Engagement and pricing
A fixed-fee PoC, kept small and focused by design. Scope depends on the use case — contact us for a quote.
